Machine Espresso pour formation

This half-day long class is all about the most important techniques you need to master to operate a home espresso machine.
In this course, you will learn how to effectively set an espresso grinder, use the right water for coffee and learn about the differences between the several types of home espresso machines available on the market.

 

You’ll be taught about the most important and famous coffee beverages’ recipes, such as espresso, cappuccino, caffè latte, americano and will learn to brew them yourself.
A particular emphasis will be put on correctly preparing a perfect shot of espresso and a good milk foam, suitable for pouring latte art on your drinks.
These practical units will be supplemented by various theory blocks. The coffee history, preparation processes in the coffee growing countries and the various quality certificates and labels will be discovered and discussed. In terms of taste, coffees from all over the world will be tasted and evaluated.

The cleaning of an espresso machine will also be taught.

 

The broad aim of this course is to get you to know your machine better and to understand the basics of how to operate it. If you are contemplating the idea of buying a home espresso machine, it also provides a unique opportunity to try one, taste different coffees and learn to operate a machine in the best of conditions.

 

Other brewing methods, such as V60, Chemex, Aeropress and French press will also be covered in order to teach you about the basic rules and requirements one must meet to get good quality filter coffee at home;

 

No experience nor previous knowledge is required to enter this course.

 

Participants may bring their own espresso machine if they wish.
